Profile

Senior Chief Roland enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in 2000. Her enlistment in the United States Coast Guard was after she completed four years in the United States Army. Following completion of basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, she reported to Headquarters Support Command 603d Aviation Support Battalion at Hunter Army Airfield located in Savannah, Georgia. After fulfilling her obligation in the United States Army, she enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and reported directly to Communications Area Master Station Pacific in Point Reyes, California.

Upon completion of her entry assignment in the United States Coast Guard, she was assigned to the USCGC Northland (WMEC-904) home ported in Portsmouth, Virginia. Following this tour, she reported to USCG District Seven District Technology Staff located in Miami, FL and then was assigned to the Maritime Safety and Security Team 91114 also located in Miami, FL.

In July 2011, Senior Chief Roland was selected to join the faculty of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy. Senior Chief Roland holds an Associate of Arts in General Studies from St. Leo University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Leo University. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy, Class 161 and the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 158.

Her decorations include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal (2nd award), Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal (3rd award), and various unit and service awards.
