Profile
Professor Roberts rejoined the NWC faculty in May 2002, after having taught in the Joint Military Operations Department and serving as Director of the Naval Command College while on active duty. He retired from the Navy in 2001 following a 30-year career centered on maritime patrol aviation and technology development. He had five tours flying the P-3 Orion, including command of Patrol Squadron TEN and Patrol Wing FIVE. His shore assignments included duty on the Joint Staff as Chief of Detection and Monitoring for Counternarcotics, and Special Assistant to the Director, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (
DARPA). Professor Roberts holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Oswego, a Master of Science from Salve Regina University, and a Master of Arts from the Naval War College.
