Profile

Command Master Chief Larry A. Wilske enlisted in the Navy in 1983 and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command, San Diego Calif. His follow on training includes Basic Seamanship, Operations Specialist “A” School, Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training, SEAL Delivery Vehicle Operators Course, Basic Airborne Training, Military Free Fall Training, Static Line and Free-fall Jumpmaster Training, Navy Instructor Training, Joint Special Operations University (Special Operations Battle Staff Training).
 
He also graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy (class 122) and attended the Command Leadership School. 
His sea duty assignments include USS HEWITT (DD 966), SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team One, SEAL Team Three, Navy Parachute Team, SEAL Team Seven and Naval Special Warfare Group One.
His shore duty assignments include Naval Special Warfare Group One Logistics Support Unit One (LOGSU-1) and the Senior Enlisted Academy.
In his 14 deployments he has participated in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Joint Guard (Bosnia), Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom. 
He was selected to Command Master Chief in 2009 while he was serving as the Command Master Chief at SEAL Team Seven and a subsequent Command tour at LOGSU-1.
He reported to the Senior Enlisted Academy in August of 2011 as a Faculty Advisor.
CMDCM (SEAL) Wilske is qualified to wear the SEAL Warfare insignia, the Surface Warfare Insignia, and the Air Warfare insignia. His personal awards include the Bronze Star Medal w/Combat V (two awards), the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Joint Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Combat Action ribbon (two theaters) and various other unit service and campaign awards.
