Paul Rasmussen, CDR

Commander Paul E. Rasmussen, U.S. Navy, is a 1993 graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, where he graduated with distinction in 2012. Designated as a Naval Aviator in 1996, his operational experience includes multiple tours flying F-18Cs out of Lemoore, CA, and across the globe embarked on various aircraft carriers. Additionally, he was an exchange officer with the French Navy where he flew the Super Etendard Modernise out of Landivisiau, France and onboard the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. His staff assignment was spent as a communication’s division chief at USSTRATCOM in Omaha, NE taking care of the C4ISR systems for the Global Operation Center. He most recently served as the Assistant Air Officer (MINI BOSS) on board USS CARL VINSON (CVN-70), where he participated in OPERATION UNIFIED RESPONSE (Haiti) and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. Currently he is a Military Professor for the NSA Department teaching Security Strategies with a focus on the Asia/Pacific region.
