New Naval War College tech symposium supports CNO’s Design
U.S. Naval War College (NWC) held its inaugural Future Warfighting Symposium last week for students, faculty and staff in Spruance Auditorium at the Newport, Rhode Island school. The symposium directly supported the CNO’s call for increased education on emerging topics with a goal of making students more aware of the future of security, according to Cmdr. Michael O’Hara, director of the symposium. read more

U.S. Naval War College commemorates 100th anniversary of founder’s death
Rear Adm. Stephen B. Luce, founder of U.S. Naval War College (NWC), served as its president from Oct. 6, 1884 until June 22, 1888. He retired from the Navy on Feb. 1, 1889, but continued to write and lecture at NWC until his death at age 90 on July 28, 1917. read more
