Biography

LCDR Thornton is a native of Riverview, FL. He entered the Navy in 1999 and completed the rate training to become an Electronics Technician. In 2006 while on shore duty, he completed his BS from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and attended Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL. He was commissioned and ENS in the Supply Corps on March 30, 2007. His Sea tours include, Wardroom Officer aboard USS ESSEX (LHD2) and Supply Officer in USS SIMPSON (FFG56).
His Shore Tours Include, BFM at SPAWARLANT New Orleans, XO at MSC Office Diego Garcia, and Instructor at Naval Leadership & Ethics Center.
