Cmdr. Christopher Green joined the Chilean Naval Academy in 1993 and graduated in 1997. After his initial years of training, he went to the Chilean Navy Polytechnic Academy where he obtained a degree in systems engineering, specializing in submarines. He attended the Joint Professional Military Education II course at the Joint Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia, in 2018. He graduated from the U.S. Naval War College with a master's degree in National Security and Strategic Studies where he also obtained a graduate certificate in maritime history. He is a fellow in the Humanitarian Response Program and the John B. Hattendorf Center for Maritime Studies.
