Command Master Chief Cole is a native of Essex, Massachusetts, graduating from North Shore Technical High School in 1995. He enlisted in the United States Navy in December 1996 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes Illinois. He has honorably served on board USS CONSTITUTION, USS HOPPER(DDG70), ATG MIDPAC, USS JAMES E. WILLIAMS(DDG95), LCSRON ONE, IA Tour in support of OIF with 2nd Marine Air Wing/Base Command Group Al Asad Iraq USS FREEDOM(LCS1), USS FORT WORTH(LCS3). In February 2016 he was assigned to the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island where he is currently serving as Command Master Chief.
