Biography

Professor Horne joined the Joint Military Operations faculty in August 2003 after serving two years as the Director of the Naval Staff College. Professor Horne retired from the Navy in July 2006, and is currently assigned as the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Military Operations Department. Whilst on active duty he served in a variety of operational and staff positions in the Maritime Patrol Aviation community including commanding officer Patrol Squadron FIFTY and Chief of Staff, Fleet Air Keflavik in Iceland. He is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association and is active in Newfoundland Dog rescue.
