Biography

Captain Keyes is from New Berlin, Illinois, attended AOCS and was designated a naval aviator April 1992. He is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aero Univ earning a B.S. in Prof. Aero and M.S. in Aero Science. His flying tours include HS-4, followed by HS-10 as an instructor pilot, then Personnel Exchange Program UK, flying Lynx helicopters with the Royal Navy, followed by Dep Head Tour at HS-4. He has also served at Southern Command and twice on Third Fleet Staff. In June 2008, he reported to HS-2 as the Exec Officer and following their transition from HS-2 to HSC-12, took command in Nov 2009. He has flown over 4000 hours in U.S. and coalition aircraft. He is currently the Dean of Students.
