Biography

Prof. Robert L. Carney has been a member of the National Security Affairs faculty since July 2004 and currently serves as the NSA Division Head for the College of Distance Education. He is a West Point graduate and holds a master’s degree from the Naval War College. While on active duty, Prof. Carney served in various command and staff positions to include battalion commander in the Second Infantry Division, action officer on the Department of the Army staff, theater missile defense officer for U.S. Central Command, and advisor to the combined forces air component commander for Theater Missile Defense during Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
