Biography

Dr. Bundy served in the Navy for more than 30 years prior to returning to the Naval War College as a Center for Naval Warfare Studies (CNWS) faculty member. He has led warfighting concept development and advanced research projects that have been deployed in the Fleet and the Joint Force. Dr. Bundy created the initial concept of operations for Navy Ballistic Missile Defense, warfighting concepts for the Ohio Class Guided Missile Submarine and recently contributed to introduction of Distributed Lethal in the Navy. He has mentored more than 330 war college graduate research students.

Assumed the position of Director of the Halsey CHARLIE Research Group that was later named after VADM Samuel L Gravely, Jr.
1997

Vice President, FleetBoston Operations and Technology

Directed technology adoption across the FleetBoston enterprise along with introducing formal Project Management education and certification
1995

Director, Rhode Island Department of Transportation

Introduced RIDOT to the Transportation Information Age and established the RIDOT Transportation Operations Center. Established the Freight Rail Project that opened rail access to the port at Quonset Point.
1975

Submarine Officer, U.S. Navy

Served as a Submarine Officer through Command of Submarines and Senior Staff assignments at the Squadron, Group and Fleet levels. Served in seven submarines. Served as Director, Naval Officer Candidates School, Newport Entered Enlisted service in 1963.
