You are cordially invited to the first virtual "Grassroots AI in the Naval Forces" workshop April 12th cohosted by the U.S. Naval War College's (NWC) Hopper Chair and the Naval Post Graduate School's (NPS) Naval Warfare Studies Institute. Attached is the agenda.
The virtual Grassroots artificial intelligence (AI) workshop is meant to build community around, and add visibility for, bottom-up, more operationally focused ideas about how AI can help the warfighter.
Speakers are largely those who have personally developed an idea, have spearheaded an AI idea into a prototype, or are speaking for others who have done that. For example, among the speakers are students from NPS and NWC whose ideas are included in order to have visibility and increased chances for follow-on support. We also have several speakers who will describe how they turned to support ideas from junior officers and propelled them into prototypes.
Registration is in advance. Please use a government-issued email address when registering or contact hosts.
RegistrationAfter registering, a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting will be sent to the registered address.
We hope to see you on April 12th!
