Navy Information Warfighting Development Center Carrier Hunt Game
The Naval War College (NWC) will host a team from the Navy Information Warfighting Development Center (NIWDC) who will facilitate an interactive board game called "Carrier Hunt." The game will be conducted at the SECRET level on Wed, 25 Jan in the MLH auditorium starting at 0800. The first 60-90 minutes will be an overview of the game to familiarize the audience with the game. After the introduction, players who have volunteered to participate will play the game for the rest of the morning. Audience members are welcome and encouraged to observe the game play.
Carrier Hunt is designed to have participants think through countering adversary intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and targeting (ISRT) threats and enhance understanding of how US carrier strike groups can mitigate threats and exploit opportunities while operating in the Pacific.Intended outcomes of the game include enhance faculty/staff awareness and understanding of the operating environment for carrier strike groups in the Pacific and provide information about one additional educational wargaming effort which might be of value to the NWC for professional understanding or curriculum development.
