About the Writing Center

We support NWC students in all aspects of academic and professional writing development. Regardless of writing ability or experience, our one-on-one tutorials and group workshops provide professional support for all types of writing assigned in and across the college's academic curriculum.

Our Goal

The primary goal of the Writing Center is to provide both individual and group writing consultations to better equip students to identify and address weaknesses in their writing through rigorous, structured, student-centered conversation. Further, and in concert with the NWC curriculum, we seek to cultivate a dynamic culture of academic writing, learning, and research at the college.
