Learning Commons
The U.S. Naval War College (NWC) Learning Commons is a hub for information and research resources, as well a center for writing and teaching assistance. The Learning Commons includes the Henry E. Eccles library, the Information Resources helpdesk, the Writing and Teaching Excellence Center, and an upstairs café and refreshment area.

Elizabeth Geesey Holmes
Elizabeth Geesey Holmes joined the U.S. Naval War College in 2015 as the library head for infrastructure and content, a position she held through August 2024. She currently holds the position of research & instruction librarian. Previously, she served as the librarian at Partridge, Snow & Hahn from 2007-15, as the cataloging services librarian at the University of Georgia Law School from 2001-07 and as the head of copy cataloging and database management at Harvard Law School from 1997-2001. Her areas of expertise include research, collection development, assessment, metadata, and library systems.
Wendy Kieron-Sanchez
Wendy Kieron-Sanchez joined the U.S. Naval War College in 2007. Previously, she served as the head of technical services at Redwood Library and Athenaeum from 1999-2007 and as the technical services librarian at New England Historic Genealogical Society from 1995-1999. She has devoted over 30 years to all aspects of library services.
