We offer students unique opportunities to conduct advanced research projects or contribute to enhanced understanding of a geographic region through mentored, individual research. Exceptionally-qualified students may take individual research projects in place of a required elective. These full-time research programs, supervised by faculty advisors with expertise in the areas studied, involve group work, individual study, faculty collaboration, wargaming, workshops, and even research trips.
