Naval Command College Outcomes

Upon completion of the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) Naval Command College (NCC) program you will receive an NWC diploma, additionally, the President of the college will send a letter of completion to the Chief of your Navy. This end of course letter will report on your accomplishments and professional contribution to the NWC community during your year of study.

Completion of Our Program

International officers in NCC will complete a robust program of academic core courses and electives, as well as professional development. Upon completion you will receive an NWC Diploma and selected students will be eligible to earn a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies.

Exams, Grades, and Academic Work

Students do not receive letter grades for their work; professional pride and commitment to your navy should provide motivation for you to study hard and share your knowledge. Exams are voluntary and faculty will evaluate your academic work to provide written feedback, but no letter grades are assigned.

Furthering Your Education

Students can also apply for a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies at Salve Regina University (SRU) in Newport, Rhode Island. These additional courses can be completed either at SRU night school or via distance education.
