Orientation
New student orientation is a multi-day event designed to prepare you for your upcoming U.S. Naval War College (NWC) experience and give you the information you need to be ready when classes begin. It will provide you the opportunity to meet the college leadership and learn about your upcoming academic year and living in Newport.
About Orientation
Orientation covers three full days of briefs and administrative requirements. Additional days beyond the first three may be necessary for Service specific training and administration as well as NWC specific training and administration. Details will be provided in an orientation schedule made available to all incoming students.
In-processing
Details for student in-processing will be provided in a Welcome Aboard email from the Dean of Students Office and Service Advisor, all students report to the Dean of Students Office.

NWC has a Bring Your Own Device policy, all students are required to bring their own laptops or tablets in order to access the digital curriculum. We will provide you with the formatted readings and instructions on how to load them onto the device. By bringing your own device, you will be able to retain all selected readings for future professional reference. Please bring your device with you when checking-in to avoid delays with your in-processing.
