Biography
Capt. Andy Schanno serves as Deputy Dean of the International Programs. Previously, Capt. Schanno acted as director of the Maritime Security and Governance Staff Course (MSGSC) and International Maritime Staff Officers Course (IMSOC). Prior to the Naval War College, Capt. Schanno served as the commanding officer of Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, Michigan, with past assignments in Southeast Alaska, and Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington D.C. Prior to the Coast Guard, he served in the United States Army with deployments to Bosnia, Albania-Kosovo and Iraq. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, and a Master of Science from Purdue University.
