Biography

Lt. Col. Gregory Larson is a military professor at the College of Leadership and Ethics. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Joint and Combined Warfighting School and the U.S. Naval War College. Throughout his military career, he has served in numerous command and staff positions, including as J33 team chief at U.S. European Command in Stuttgart, Germany, commander of the 457th Civil Affairs (CA) Battalion in Grafenwöhr, Germany and commander of Delta 416th CA Battalion (Airborne) in San Diego, California. Past operational tours include deployments to Iraq and Kuwait.

2022

Joint Operation Center Team Chief EUCOM

Served in a joint billet at a 4-star level Joint Operations Center. Provided direct communications to and for the EUCOM 4-star Combatant Commander in the execution of the EUCOM mission as directed by National Command Authority and the Joint Staff.
2020

457th CA BN Commander

Commander of the only forward-based, multi-functional Civil Affairs Battalion in the Army supporting both Europe and Africa, consisting of 203 soldiers, ~6 civilian employees, and ~$123 million worth of equipment spread across 5 companies in 3 locations within Germany, and Italy.
2017

Delta Company Commander, 416th CA BN

Company Commander in a Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) in support of the Pacific Command area of responsibility. Supervise tactical employment of the Company's five Civil Affairs Teams (CAT-A) while conducting Civil Affair and Civil Military Operations.
