Biography
Cmdr. Mike Major commissioned in 2008 as a Human Resources Officer after enlisting in the Michigan Army National Guard from 1998-2002. He most recently served as the social science adviser for the Navy Performance Management Administration team in the Talent Management Center of Excellence at Navy Personnel Command (PERS-00K). He previously mobilized to Afghanistan as an Embedded Advisor with the Afghan National Civil Order Police in Ghazni, planning and executing joint operations with the Polish Army. Cmdr. Major holds a PhD in Communication from Wayne State University, and his research focuses on communication theory in warfare and policy, strategic communication, applied communication, and organizational behavior.
