Biography

U.S. Army Col. Stuart D. Furner is the director of the Army Element at the U.S. Naval War College and joined the Joint Military Operations faculty in September 2019. He was commissioned as an infantry officer from the U.S. Military Academy and has served in a variety of infantry, command and staff positions during his career including joint and multinational assignments. He holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Military Academy in international relations, an M.S. degree from Long Island University in counseling and leadership development and an M.A. degree from the U.S. Naval War College in national security and strategic studies.
