Newport, R.I. – The U.S. Naval War College (NWC) will begin accepting applications April 1 for new and returning students in the Fleet Seminar Program for the new academic year beginning in September 2023.

U.S. Naval War College students from the College of Naval Warfare and College of Naval Command and Staff were recognized for their achievements and received either a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies or a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies during the ceremony, March 8, 2023.

Newport, R.I. – At a graduation ceremony on March 8, 2023, staff, faculty, and alumni of the U.S. Naval War college traversed the corridors of Spruance Auditorium to celebrate the college’s graduating class of spring 2023. The ceremony included 46 U.S. Navy graduates and 10 U.S. Army graduates.

The secretary of the Navy and chief of naval operations announced the following Navy flag officer assignments, including Rear Adm. Peter A. Garvin, the incoming U.S. Naval War College president, February 21, 2023. The flag officer assignments included 19 graduates of the U.S. Naval War College.
