U.S. Naval War College (NWC) President Rear Adm. Darryl Walker met with Director for Joint Force Development, Joint Staff, Lt. Gen. Dagvin R.M. Anderson during a visit to the college’s Newport, RI campus, Jan. 29.
The leaders discussed NWC’s use of Outcomes-Based Military Education (OBME) and educational wargaming in its curriculum, and how these efforts support warfighter competency across the Joint Force.
In addition to his meeting with NWC’s president, Anderson delivered a lecture to students, staff and faculty, and was briefed by the college’s Center for Naval Warfare Studies (CNWS) and other academic leadership.
Anderson was also given a tour of campus facilities and briefed on current capabilities and future development plans aimed at enhancing long-term advantage and readiness to respond in competition, crisis and conflict.
