Center on Irregular Warfare and Armed Groups
From colonial wars to transnational criminal activities, irregular warfare is broad in scope and an ever-present challenge in the 21st century. This institute promotes and supports research and teaching of unconventional conflicts and armed groups.

The U.S. Naval War College Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) program integrates WPS concepts and principles into Joint Professional Military Education programs in support of lines of effort stated in the U.S Women, Peace, and Security Act (PUBLIC LAW 115-68, 2017), U.S. Strategy on Women, Peace, and Security (2019), as well as other objectives and tasks outlined in the DoD Strategic Framework and Implementation Plan.
