U.S. Naval War College’s (NWC) academic mission is supported by a host of administrative departments. The day-to-day operations at NWC would not be possible without the contributions of our staff members, from maintaining student records and onboarding new employees to keeping our campus safe and secure.

Alumni Programs

Alumni Programs office provides many ways for our global network of graduates to connect, including events and online online communities. Our Graduate Network for Lifelong Learning also allows alumni to keep pursuing knowledge.

Our Human Resources department supports our civilian personnel, maintains a list of NWC employment opportunities, and offers information on civilian careers within other areas of the Navy.

Naval War College offers an on-campus medical clinic, staffed by a full-time, independent duty corpsman (IDC). The IDC can dispense common medications, write prescriptions/refills, and make referrals.

Office of Naval Intelligence Detachment

This office serves as the bridge between NWC and the Office of Naval Intelligence. It provides expert insight to those involved with wargaming, research, and warfare analysis, and also participates in advanced student research groups.

Public Affairs

The Public Affairs Office (PAO) is the official source of college news and information, whether through our website or by providing the media updates about our students, faculty, research, events, and more. PAO serves as the connection between the public and NWC, through such activities as arranging campus tours or coordinating speaking engagements.

The registrar’s office maintains NWC student academic records and handles all requests for transcripts and enrollment verifications, whether you need to obtain records for an application to another academic institution or for employment purposes.

Reserve Affairs

This office supports NWC by staffing all operational requirements, acting as the Subject Matter Experts for Reserve Component capabilities, issues and concerns.

Our campus is part of a secure naval base. NWC’s security department ensures everyone who enters our campus, from students to civilian visitors, does so with the proper clearances and badges.
