Biography

Professor Andrea J. Dew is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Policy. She lived in Japan for eight years where she studied advanced Japanese at the Kyoto Japanese Language School. Professor Dew has served as a Research Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science in International Affairs at Harvard University, and Senior Counter-Terrorism Fellow at the Jebsen Center for Counter Terrorism Studies at the Fletcher School. Dr. Dew is the founding Co-Director of the Center on Irregular Warfare and Armed Groups (CIWAG) at the US Naval War College.
