Biography

Brenda Carr, acquisitions librarian, joined the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) Library in May of 2012. She is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the selection and purchase of library print and electronic books. Prior to coming to the NWC Library, she held library positions at academic, public and school libraries. Her career includes experience as a library assistant at the curriculum resource center at Maxwell Library, the academic library for Bridgewater State University, school media librarian at the Palmer River Elementary School Library and assistant librarian for adult services and technical services at the Dighton Public Library.

2014

Acquisitions Librarian

As the Acquisitions Librarian, Ms Carr coordinates the selection and acquisitions of print and electronic books. Working with colleagues, faculty, and students to provide exceptional research support by acquiring print and electronic books for research and study at the Naval War College Library.
2012

Library Technician

In the Infrastructure and Content department of the Naval War College Library, Ms Carr assisted with the acquisitions and processing of new materials. She also processed new government publications from the Federal Depository Library Program.
