Chris Sullivan
Associate Professor Maritime Operational Planners Course
Biography
Chris Sullivan, Cmdr., USN (Ret), joined the faculty of Maritime Operational Planners Course in August 2025 following 7-years as a Military Faculty at the Maritime Advanced Warfighter School at the U.S. Naval War College. He brings 28 years of experience with assignments at U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. FOURTH Fleet as the Future Plans Director, 4 combat deployments as a Naval Flight Officer in the EA-6B Prowler, and an 11-month assignment as Chief of Combat Ops at the 609th Combined Air Operations Center in Qatar. He has served on the staffs of Carrier Air Wing SEVEN and Helicopter Maritime Strike Weapons School, Atlantic in various operational capacities. He holds an M.B.A in Business Administration from Colorado State University, an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College where he was a graduate of the MAWS Class of 2014, and a B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University.
