Navy Capt. Cindy Dieterly is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the U.S. Naval War College. She was commissioned in 1996 and earned her wings as an E-2C naval flight officer. Her flying tours include VAW-126, VAW-117 and VAW-125. She served as a weapons and tactics instructor with Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School, joint action officer/navy director at the Air Land Sea Application Center, air warfare assessor for Carrier Strike Group Four and instructor at the Naval Leadership and Ethics Center. In May 2012 she served as executive officer of VAW-115 in Astugi, Japan and assumed command in July 2013.
