Lt. Col. Bard joined the faculty of the Naval War College in 2016. He earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the United States Military Academy in 1996 and a master’s in administration from Central Michigan University in 2014. He is a 2009 graduate of the Army’s resident Command and General Staff College. His previous assignments include commander, Stryker Reconnaissance Troop Command; instructor, Armor Captains Career Course; chief of initiatives, U.S. Army Armor Center; battalion operations officer; battalion executive officer; portfolio manager, Department of the Army G-3/5/7; and commander, 1st Battalion, 310th Infantry Regiment at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin.
