Biography

Cmdr. Daniel Caldwell is an operational analyst for the China Maritime Studies Institute at the U.S. Naval War College who is also a surface warfare officer specializing in maritime theory, operational and strategic planning, and joint military operations. Cmdr. Caldwell has experience in both surface and amphibious warfare as well as staff experience at U.S. Pacific Fleet, U.S. Pacific Command, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was formerly a professor with the Joint Military Operations Department at the Naval War College.
