2019 Salute to Summer Free Concert & Fireworks Show

Naval Station Newport MWR will be hosting a “Salute to Summer” free concert and fireworks show on Saturday, August 24 at Dewey Field on Naval Station Newport. This event is open to active duty personnel, retirees, reservists, eligible family members, DoD civilians and contractors with base access and the general public.

Please Note: Field gates will open at 2 p.m. for patrons with base access. After 3:30 p.m., Gate 1 will only support foot traffic, pedestrians only, no vehicles. No unauthorized cars will be allowed entry.

Agenda

• 2:00 p.m. - Dewey Field gates, kid’s area and concessions open to authorized ID holders
• 2:30 p.m. - Gate 17 opens to support vehicle access to the base.
• 3:00 p.m. - The Naticks, playing Rock Music
• 3:30 p.m. - Gate 1 opens for the general public, pedestrians only, no vehicles.
• 5:00 p.m. - Changes in Latitude, A Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band
• 7:00 p.m. - Navy Band Northeast's rock band, Rhode Island Sound
• ~9:15 p.m. - Fireworks
