The Theater Security Decision Making (TSDM) course at the U.S. Naval War College (NWC) begins on August 6th, 2021 and concludes on November 5th, 2021. Please follow health and safety guidelines and refer to the orientation material for more guidance.

The National Security Affairs department at NWC teaches the TSDM course to intermediate-ranking U.S. and international military officers (O3-O4), along with nominated civilian applicants (GS13-GS14, or equivalent).

This course is designed to engage students in the complexities of today's national and international security environment with a strong emphasis on regional security issues. The course offers a broad interdisciplinary curriculum in contemporary security studies that encompasses a diverse spectrum of regional and global issues and perspectives.

About the U.S. Naval War College

NWC features a one-year graduate-level program that annually graduates about 600 resident and 1,000 distance learning students. Graduating students earn Joint Professional Military Education credit and either a diploma or a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies or Defense and Strategic Studies.
