This event is for U.S. Naval War College students, faculty and staff.

State: Leveraging the “D” in DIME

The lecture will consist of three parts:
1. Department of State (DOS) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington and within the interagency as well as agency structure(s).
2. DOS and USAID in the field, the jobs of diplomats and foreign service officers in Embassies and multi-lateral missions.
3. Myth busting and information about DOS and USAID operations, including but not limited to agency size, budgets, roles, and function within the dime, etc.
