This event is for U.S. Naval War College students, faculty and staff.Suffragism and the Women’s Right to Bear Arms
Suffragism and Women’s Right to Bear Arms is based on research from Dr. Raum’s upcoming Taylor and Francis book entitled "Art, Artifact, Women and War". Highlighted will be pre and World War I stories from field medicine including Mable St Clair Stobart who organized the Women’s Sick and Wounded Convoy Corps (Serbia), Drs. Flora Murray and Louisa Garrett, BEF, Army Endell Street Hospital, London and the Edinburgh 7 Surgeons Hall Riot. Historical markers up to the 18th century about women's rights will be described.
