China’s Use of Military Power
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the largest military force in the world, with improved capabilities threatening United States military dominance. Understanding how the PLA makes decisions is critical for U.S. policymakers to accurately assess the Party's desire to establish a "world-class" military and a potential Taiwan invasion. This lecture provides insights into China's use of military power beyond just large numbers of weapons, platforms, and people, but the strengths and weaknesses of how the PLA may lead and operate in a contested environment.
