This event is for U.S. Naval War College students, faculty and staff.The Genocide Perpetrated Against Tutsis in Rwanda, 1994: A Personal Story
Ms. Providence Nkurunziza will tell her personal story of survival as a child during the 1994 Rwandan Genocide (30 years ago). She will also discuss issues pertaining to genocide escalation; genocide denial; the participation of the Hutus (against the Tutsis); inciting hatred; military involvement in the genocide as well as in stopping it; the lack of international response; and she will engage in Q&A.
