Multi-Domain Operations and other Joint Emerging Concepts

Multi-domain Operations (MDO) 2028 is the U.S. Army's Operating Concept, codified in TRADOC Pamphlet 525-3-1 in December 2018. Its tenets of Calibrated Force Posture, Multi-Domain Formations, and Convergence have been further developed and tested over the last year during experimentation and war gaming, in conjunction with the Joint Force, in anticipation of a new Joint Warfighting Concept delivered by the end of 2020. The commands responsible for this effort is the U.S. Army Futures Command and their Futures and Concepts Center.
