UN OCHA's Humanitarian Civil-Military Coordination in Action

Mr. Marx will cover the critical role that UNOCHA's Civil Military Coordination Service (CMCS) plays in humanitarian emergencies across the globe - in conflict settings, natural disasters, and responding to COVID-19. He will explore key CMCoord frameworks and processes and apply them through current crises to provide students and faculty with a deeper understanding for how humanitarian civil-military coordination works at a global, regional, and country level.
