China's Shadow over the Trans-Atlantic Relationship: A Report from the Loisach Group

The China factor is increasingly assuming center stage in discussions about the future of the trans-Atlantic relationship, both because of the deterioration of U.S.-China relations but also because of China's emergence as a player in European affairs. What is the potential for developing a shared European-American consensus on assessing and dealing with China? Professor Nikolas Gvosdev will report on the findings of the Loisach Group, the German-American trans-Atlantic security dialogue cosponsored by the Marshall Center and the Munich Security Conference, after its two days of deliberation in Berlin.
