Concerning Trends with regards to Maritime Insecurities
Dr. Ian Ralby, who works for both the United Nations and a variety of U.S. government agencies, will share insights on some of the most concerning trends in maritime security from around the world. With field experience in more than 50 countries on six continents, Dr. Ralby’s perspective, particularly with his background in maritime law, is relatively unique. From technological innovations to new piracy dynamics to hybrid maritime warfare to terrorist financing through smuggling, Dr. Ralby will examine some of the thorniest evolving and emerging maritime threats around the world, and discuss what is or is not happening to address them.
