North Korea has acquired usable nuclear weapons and deployed more than 200 missiles targeted at Japan. China’s defense expenditure has grown by 83 percent while that of Japan has grown by 2.3 percent. Dr. Michishita will discuss security measures that Japan has been taking to cope with these challenges.
