Lectures of Opportunity offer U.S. Naval War College (NWC) students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to learn more about national and international socio-political subjects that may be of relevance to the NWC community.
Synopsis
This presentation is a panel discussion by the three living holders of the Ernest J. King Chair at the Naval War College: J. Kenneth McDonald (1972-74), John B. Hattendorf (1984-2017), and Craig Symonds (2017-2020). They will discuss the so-called "Turner Revolution" that took place at the War College in 1972 when all three of them (in different capacities) were part of that transformation, and some of the changes they have observed since.
