This event is for U.S. Naval War College students, faculty and staff.

Dr. Giuseppe M. Fazari, a member of the Seton Hall University Criminal Justice faculty will screen his award-winning documentary, "Why they Kill" in the Pringle Auditorium at 5:00 P.M. EDT on 14 October. The film explores why some men, women, and even children engage in extremely violent behavior. His work is based on the critically acclaimed book of the same name written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Richard Rhodes. The book is based on the research of Seton Hall Criminal Justice Professor Lonnie H. Athens.

Following the film’s viewing, Dr. Fazari (who is its writer and director) will engage in a Q&A with attendees. Naval War College Associate Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Science, Dr. Leigh Ann Perry will moderate this session. The event is free and open to the NWC academic community, with support from the EMC Informationist Chair and the College of Leadership & Ethics. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with the screening beginning at 5 p.m. To ensure the safety of the NWC Community from COVID-19, capacity limits in accordance with the Deputy Secretary of Defense Policy Memorandum of 24 September 2021 will be enforced.
