U.S. Naval War College (NWC) President Rear Adm. Darryl Walker met with Department of the Navy (DON) Principal Cyber Advisor (PCA) Ms. Anne Marie Schumann during her visit to the college’s Newport, RI campus, Aug. 29.
The two leaders discussed NWC’s research and education efforts related to issues in the cyber domain, specifically focusing on the college’s Cyber and Innovation Policy Institute (CIPI).
Walker and Schumann also discussed NWC courses offered on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, as well as the Rochefort Group’s education and fleet engagement activities in the field of information warfare.
In addition to her meeting with NWC’s president, Schumann was also briefed on the college’s research, analysis and wargaming efforts by faculty from NWC’s CIPI and Wargaming Department.
