U.S. Naval War College (NWC) President Rear Adm. Pete Garvin met with Commander of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Commodore Raymond King and Commander of the Rhode Island Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Kimberly Baumann, during a Royal Bahamas Defence Force and Rhode Island National Guard delegation visit to the college’s Newport, RI campus, May 01.

The three leaders discussed opportunities for professional military education (PME) collaboration between NWC and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.

King, Baumann and other members of the delegation also received a brief on NWC and Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) PME programs.

The National Guard’s State Partnership Program facilitates military-to-military engagements in support of defense security goals and leverages whole-of-society relationships and capabilities to facilitate broader interagency and corollary engagements spanning military, government, economic and social spheres.
