Biography

Dr. Koerner is a research professor in the Strategic and Operational Research Department within CNWS, where he is technical director of Halsey Alfa. He specializes in the study of conventional warfare between high technology powers from World War One onwards; his current research centers on the character of warfighting in the near future to 2030. He has contributed to numerous classified studies on military operations and technology. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago, and was a senior economist at RCF Inc. before coming to the war college.
