Biography

Dr. Koerner is a research professor in the Strategic and Operational Research Department within CNWS. He is a co-founder of Halsey Alfa, a tactical/operational war gaming group. He specializes in the study of conventional warfare from World War One onwards, and his current research centers on the character of modern warfare between great powers. He has contributed to numerous classified studies on military operations and technology. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago and was a senior economist at RCF Inc. before coming to NWC.
