Biography

Lt. David Harbuziuk, a native of Naperville, Illinois, enlisted in the Navy in 2008 as a trumpet instrumentalist. He served in numerous performing and leadership roles at Navy Band Northeast and Navy Band Southwest prior to earning his commission as a bandmaster through the Limited Duty Officer program. Prior to assuming duty as Director, Navy Band Northeast, he served as Specialty Groups Department Head at U.S. Navy Band in Washington, D.C., and as Assistant Fleet Bandmaster at U.S. Pacific Fleet Band onboard Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Lt. Harbuziuk holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from DePaul University, Baylor University, and the University of Akron.
